Snow Day #2

Just a few shots from this morning.. We got to watch the snow plow up real close. We have had a blast in the snow but I am ready for it to go!! We did get out to Burger King today for lunch. I co not like to be home bound at all. I will find a way out tomorrow too. Scott is working and I don't drive in this mess!! I hope everyone that got snow had fun and the Cannon's want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! Enjoy time with your family and loved ones and eat lots of good food!!

Casa Cannon

Here is our humble abode in the snow. Look closely and you can see Owen at the truck and Noah heading towards the neighbors house. All the wind last night blew our wreath and the 3m holder off above the garage. Oh well..
Scott's photo he went and took and the wind started howling like crazy..

It was a beautiful snow and it let Scott stay home with us and have fun!! Owen and Noah stayed up late and watched the movie Cars. Their favorite.

Snow and lots of it

Got the rad shot with our new camera that has a timer that we can work. I love my family so much. God blessed me with a wonderful husband, father and kids. I love my Chrissy Cannon (He LOVES when I call him that) and my wild boys. I wouldn't have it any other way!
Sledding when it was first coming down.

Yesterday we got our first taste of winter. The boys loved it this year. We were so glad. All the years past they didn't like it at all. It started sleeting at 8am yesterday and we kicked it out to Wal-mart to get a few supplies. They were out of snow boots for the boys so they wore their rain boots and we got some long socks for them, Scott some boots and me some pink 1995 boots to go with my ultra ugly ensemble of a green coat, black pants and a green head band. I bet we got at least 6inches. It snowed all day. It was beautiful coming down. We took the boys sledding, made snow balls, and Scott pulled them around the neighborhood yesterday. Riding in the sled all around the neighborhood was by far their favorite. That was always my favorite thing when I was little. We also made some delicious snow cream. Slurped it right up.

Decorating Cookies

Owen with a thumbs up and looks like shooting us a bird. No, we did not teach him that. However Scott did teach them to say That's Crap. Can't wait to go to school and us that one. There is no hope here!!

Owen getting down to business. His 2 nicknames now are cookie monster and Dennis the Menace

Noah the bandit.. can you see what I see...
Last night we tried to decorate cookies. I struggled rolling out the dough after having difficulties cooking a ham. It kept sticking to the rolling pin. I am not Martha Stewart by any means. But and A+ for effort. I do think I am a good cook. Just not crafty. Need some semi-homemade stuff like Sandra Lee. HA!HA! Anyway, we had fun and we rolled out the dough and baked them. Took a shower while they cooled outside and then decorated them. That is why we are naked and cannot put many pics on the blog. Jack frost brings out the nakedness in them for some reason.
So far we are having a ton of fun for Christmas. We cannot put any gifts under the tree and there are bare spots on the tree and rearranged ornaments but that is the best. We love to sing Rudolph, Jingle Bells and we wish you a Merry Christmas. We love this time of the year and love making memories and traditions.

Wheelies

Noah popping a wheelie
Owen doing tricks.. Owen was our first kid to do a wheelie. We couldn't ever get a good shot of him so this one will do until we get "the" shot. Noah can too as you see above but he uses the bump in the garage and Owen doesn't. Nothing like boys loving to ride bike, watching Monster Jam and talking all about 4 wheelers and dirt bikes.

It's almost Christmas.. So you know we gotta get sick

Juat chillin by the tree with our Burger King toy. It is a ironman light. They loved it. Thanks Maw-Maw.
Well as always we gotta get sick on or around Christmas. (It is a Cannon tradition since we were born--at 2months we had RSV for Christmas-aka Christmas from hell) Noah started the Holiday season off last Thursday with bronchitis. Then we could tell Owen was getting sick by just not acting like his wild self. For example, we went to K-mart and he didn't even try to get out of the buggy so that was our warning. We go and take a nap and he wakes up with this crazy cough that sounds like a seal. Later we find out it is called stridor. So Sunday morning at 8:20 we go to the Doc after a 102-103 temperature and he has the croup. He was close to being hospitalized with a croup tent but Dr. Spees gave us steroids. (Prednisone). It did bounce him off the wall the first dose but the second 6 hours later was fine. Finally we are better with a little cough mainly when we are outside or doig a lot of physical activity. I really hope we are out of the woods on being sick.

Big Boy Bed.....

Believe it or not we have made the transition to a bed effective tonight. We went to Ikea yesterday and picked it all out. We couldn't put the actual bed in the car so Scott had to go back this morning. I have never seen such excited kids to get a bed. We thought we would just look and if we did get anything we could wait until Christmas until Scott has extra days off. Heck No!! They made us get it all out as soon as we got home. Then the first thing out of Noah's mouth when he got up was where's my new bed so we had no other choice but to kick it and put them up. (never fear the cribs are up in the play room. I was so nervous but they went to bed. It took less than and hour and they were out. Owen was in Noah's bed at one point and they peed 3 times but so far so good. The rest of the night we will see. I will keep you posted on it. Just say a prayer for me the next 3 nights while Scott works and I am manning it all on my own. We are so proud of them and love them so much. They are just growing up way to fast. I honestly didn't know that last night was my last time putting them to bed in their crib.

Decorating for the Holidays

Me and Noah
Me and Owen

Had to put this one in. While Scott was showering and I was getting ready last week they destroyed Scott's part of the closet. Glad it wasn't mine!

Getting all our decor out of the attic. Overlook all the mess...
My dear sweet hubby went to K-mart on his way home from work on Thanksgiving morning to get our fake tree. Noah and Owen were so excited we were waiting on him at the door and he had to put it up b/f he could go to bed. Then we decorated it later. We went all out and put decorations anywhere we could. Since the boys are now 3 it has just been a blast. We even go looking at Christmas lights at night. I love making traditions and memories.

Turkey Day 2009

Here we are cooking together. What an adventure that was. The kitchen was wrecked. They got to hammer out the oreos for our dessert.Being Burke County rednecks. Not much else to say on this one. It sure was fun until the lawn mower wouldn't make it up the hill. All I could do was laugh and Super dad came to the rescue.

Noah on the 4 wheeler

We had a great Thanksgiving. We (me and Scott) ate too much. Nothing like spending time with family. We went to my parents and Scott's brothers. Two great meals!! We have so much to be thankful. Our wonderful kids, parents, all of our families, lots of love, good health, and happiness that is never ending.
