Slip & Slide

My favorite new picture.
It was a miracle pose. These are some good looking dudes if I do say so.

Owen

Noah

We love the slip & slide. We have to speed it up with some soap. I think we have some water bugs and sun lovers in our house. We all love the summer weather. We can do with out the thunderstorms. They were in our room a lot last week when it thundered for a few nights in a row. Lets hope this phobia goes away.

Henry River Park

We also went for the first time to Henry River Park in Longview after a morning of fishing. It had a lot of soccer fields. We walked around the track and played on the slides. This is one of the first times they have actually played on a slide or swing set. They just are not swing set kind of kids. They loved pretending Scott was a sea monster and we were running from him and sliding. I am glad to see they liked doing it together as brothers.

Fishing W/ Paw-Paw James

Owen
Noah

This week Noah & Owen went fishing with Scott and Paw-Paw James. They called me at work when they caught their first fish which was right after they got there. With 2 fishing Paw-Paw's they may be avid fishermen. They touched them and everything. I know they had lots of fun and hope to go back soon.

Pool Party Redneck Style

Splish Splash

Noah

This is what we have been doing the past 2 days. Playing in the pool. They are some water bugs. We went out 2 times yesterday and once already today. That pool is living hard. It is now full of grass and dirt. It has helped me work on my tan. I love it. I don;t like the pastey look on me. We will usher in more summer fun with a slip and slide soon. We tore our last year. Here's to a fantastic and fun summer.

Mother's Day

Last week we decided to party in the tub a couple of mornings and give our animals a bubble bath.

Bradley helping Owen make a dirt bike. He and Buzzy put tape and cut up plastic cups to give it the cool dirt bike sound.

Me and Owen on Mother's day

Me and Noah on Mother's Day
I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Most important was no one was sick. The best gift ever. My thoughtful and amazing husband got me a gift card to Rock Barn for a massage. Can't wait. I have been blessed with the most caring and loving husband and father. He makes me feel special and laugh each and every day. I have also been blessed with the best kids in the world. They are loving, wild, dare devilish, and full of personality. It warms my heart when they tell me I am the bestest or you buy the bestest gifts.
We had a cook out that evening at Ninny's. Owen & Noah rode for at least 2 hours on those bikes. They put on a show for everyone. They wake up in the mornings and you never know who they will be for the day. Noah is usually Travis Pastrana and Owen is either Tony Hawk, Ronnie Renner, or Eric Roner.
I am so lucky to have my husband, kids, parents and in-laws to share this wild, fun, fabulous journey with.

The Star
Last weekend we took a trip to the Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville with my parents. We had a lot of fun. Owen loved holding the map and saying "follow me". The main reason we went was to see the Turkey Vultures. Such an ugly bird but our crazy kids love them. They had owls, eagles and lots of other raptors. My favorite part was going to eat afterwards at Steak & Shake. Love that place.
The trip was just the beginning of over a week of the stomach bug. Noah had a little diarrhea but the day b/f but it went full throttle and he was puking and non stop diarrhea for 6 days. Then Owen got it this past weekend. I have never seen so much poop and puke. Neither I dealw ell with. They are making me tough. I will do everyone the favor of leaving out details. I think we are in the clear as of tonight. Noah got a little dehydrated Wednesday b/c he wasn't eating or drinking much. It started off just diarrhea and not feeling bad and them it just hits you like a brick. All you can do is make them comfy in whatever way. It spooked us pretty good. I do not wish this awful bug on anyone. So we are praying for a much better week!!!
