Cool DC's

Some cool Travis Pastrana shoes. See the cool thumbs up...

Noah

Owen

A few weeks ago Scott and I splurged and got the boys the Travis Pastrana DC's. They are Subaru blue. We were all stoked on these. Travis is their hero and they were in need of some new kicks. I was on a mission to get blue shoes. So it all worked out.

No Training Wheels.... 3 years old.. So Proud

Noah I think

Owen I think

Yesterday was a spectacular day. Went to Monster Jam, test drove a mini van (which they pitched a fit for) and learned to ride our bikes without training wheels.
I will be honest. It is very hard to tell who is who in these. They are not real close ups of their faces, they have on the same outfit and they have on helmets.
They basically did it the first try. We are so proud there are no words to explain it. Scott I know is beside himself. We are making big strides to be in the X-games. They get the athleticism form dad!! Owen rode all the way across the yard. Noah had some awesome stops while sliding his back wheel. What tricksters!!

GRAVE DIGGER

Gravedigger

Dennis Anderson (the driver) sign ing Noah & Owen an autograph

Scott driving a trike as if he was drunk.

Watching the pit crew do the tire changes. That was real cool!

Noah looking not thrilled right when we got there. He has just woke up..
Yesterday we got to go to the Nascar Technical Institute/UTI thanks to Keith. We had a blast!! Owen and Noah got to see Gravedigger. Keith took us on a tour of the campus which was awesome. I think my favorite was the pit crew. Scott liked the fabrication part and the boys just liked the monster truck. The boys did have the crap scared of them while we were watching the pit crew. There was an engine making the "real" racing noises and it scared them to death. They didn't cry but boy they crawled all of us. I was even not expecting that. They were probably less than 75 feet from it. Oops. I was so excited to meet and get Dennis Anderson's autograph. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it next year. Maybe then we can actually go to the actual Monster Jam.

Snow Again

Noah
Owen
I took those just as it started Friday while we were waiting for Scott to come home for some snow cream.

Big Daddy acting like he has some skill. He's too old. HA!HA!
The Conover Fire Dept
Almost 2 weeks ago we had another huge snow. It got so bad so fast that Friday night that Scott came home from work. He worked 15 minutes and it took him 1 hour to get home due to cars off the road near the house. We were just glad to have him here 2 extra days. I don't think the boys liked it so much this round since it was so deep. I measured 8-9 inches. We were stuck in all day Saturday but Sunday we had to get out. So off we went to eat lunch and we get home and hear a beeping sound. It was the carbon monoxide alarm going off. What a nice thing to come home to. We stayed outside!! So we ended up calling the fire dept. So embarrassing!! But thank the Lord it was a faulty detector. We had just replaced the battery. There were small traces of carbon monoxide but nothing as bad as it could have been. So we had to take the above shot as evidence and some laughter for years to come. I am hoping old man winter leaves soon!!!
