Christmas afternoon at my parents

We have certainly been blessed this year. Full of family, friends and fun. Owen and Noah got so much cool stuff for Christmas this year. We want to thank everyone especially our parents. What would we do without you all. Christmas afternoon we went to my parents and had fun. This year they looked forward to opening every one's presents. To hear them say the word present makes us laugh. There will be more posts late this week.

Notice all the festive decor. HA!! HA!! It was another Charlie Brown Christmas. We still aren't great with trees and ornaments. We had a blast on Christmas morning. Noah and Owen got trucks, golf clubs, helmets, skateboards etc. Each year becomes more fun and special. We can't imagine life without these 2 crazy kids.....

Christmas at Maw-Maw & Paw-Paw Cannon's

Good times with family!! We had fun at Maw-Maw's on Christmas Eve. Owen and Noah have been sick now for 2 weeks. We went to the doc 2-3 times in4 days and they never did give us any antibiotics. So I am a little upset b/c I figure Owen wouldn't have had the ear infection if they did or it would have been less severe. Come to find out today Owen had an ear infection in both ears and may eventually need more tubes and they will also remove his adenoids. We took him to the ENT b/c he was oozing yellow stuff out his ear. Poor fellas have coughed and snotted FOREVER it seems. I have decided we will be sick on even number years since Christmas 2006 (they were 2 months) we had RSV. Then on Saturday I had to go to Urgent Care w/ an ear ache too. So lets hope and pray we are on the mend for 2009. All in all we had a wonderful time.

Pre-Christmas Festivities

We had a little early partying before Christmas actually got here. We are making family traditions. We will be eating Wal-mart cupcakes and making cookies each year from here on. I was shocked how well they helped sprinkle the cookies. I think they really had a blast. They love to help any way they can.

Desperate for the outdoors

Noah

Owen

We have been bored out of our minds the past few days. We have had rainy yucky weather on and off for a week now. Owen and Noah just want to go outside and play. So we broke down and let them go out for 15 minutes in the gloomy weather today. Yesterday we played in the garage while Scott cooked liver mush "mush mush". Other than that not a lot is going on. They love to see Christmas lights and nativity scenes. They say Jee Jee which means Jesus. They are saying some many new words. We love it. We are ready for Christmas I believe. It will be a blast I am sure.

The week in Review

Chillin on the counch

Seeing the Christmas lights in the turd

Owen is thrilled can ya tell

Noah shocked

My new favorite Christmas memory
We have had an awesome 2 weeks. Scott has been off for 12 days and we have been spoiled. He goes back to work tomorrow and we are already sad. We love having him every evening. Especially the boys. One day he will make it to first shift!!
We went to see the Christmas lights this evening in Morganton. They had fun. Then we went to eat at Ham's and re-decorated it Owen and Noah style. For example Owen put noodles on the wall and Noah sat int he window and jumped off into the booth. Then we went to look at the lights downtown and saw a horse and carriage. I have never gotten to go on a ride so we took advantage and did it. It was so much fun. The horses name was Sampson and he peed and tooted for us. We may go back next weekend!!
Here is to a wonderful Holiday Season!!!!!

Conover's Christmas in the park

Can we say Burrr
Vikki and Jonathan

We look like bank robbers with these toboggins
On Tuesday we went to Conover's Christmas event with Vikki and Jonathan. We had fun but it was so so cold. Owen and Noah's hands felt like icebergs.

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a great Turkey Holiday. We went to the park around lunch. We went to Glen Hilton b/c they love to go feed the ducks and run wild and free. Come to find out there were a lot of others with the same idea. We also went to My mom and dads on Thanksgiving day and Owen and Noah played with the reindeer (aka dang) and the Fiber optic Christmas tree. Then on Friday we went to Scott's parents. We had 2 days of great food and family!!

Not a Lot going on at the Cannon's

Owen
Noah: Look closely to see the eye injury

Chillin on the couch watching a Christmas Barney

Noah(AKA Blue Beard)

Not much has been going on here. The biggest thing of the week was Sunday evening Noah hit something (I think it was the leg of his back pack) and got a nice eye injury. It was red. I about died. He was tough as nails. He didn't cry nearly as bad as it looked. My first thought is he OK and then I was like will it be gone for pictures on Thursday. We have been doing a lot of coloring as you can tell with Noah's picture.
Also daily we let them go naked. It has to be their favorite thing. Well Sunday morning Scott let them go naked when he got home from work. He misses seeing it when he works b/c we usually do it at night before bath and bed. So Owen decided to leave us a present on the floor: It was poop. We laughed. We were glad it was hard and solid. So then I let them go naked before bath and Owen struck again. This time it dripped so to speak. I was a sweating cleaning it up and laughing at the same time. Boys will be boys and I love it.

Lots & Lots of Leaves

On Sunday we went to mom and dads and played in the leaves and ate supper.Grandpa took them for a ride in the trailer and they just ate that up. It was getting cold but they didn't care. They would run and jump into the 2 leaf piles. Owen wouldn't let us bury him I guess b/c he is our clean/neat kid. Who knows. We are going to go get hair cuts again in about an hour. They are long overdue for a trim.

The Cannon's one and only tree

Last week was very warm for November. Owen and Noah got to hang out a lot in their shorts and T's again. I love it. We got to play in the leaves from our one and only tree in the front yard. They had a blast. They even did some tricks on their bikes jumping into the leaves. We are X-games bound!!!
