Broadway at the beach


Well we had a fantastic time at the beach. We will always have etched in our brain the first solo beach trip when we had to come back in less than 24 hours. Each year seems to get better and better. Sure we had a few spats and crying but they were pooped probably from going all day and night and going to bed after 10. We did everything we wanted and then some. We hit all our fav eating spots, swam, walked on the pier, chilled at the ocean,(for a very small amount of time) played putt-putt, shopped, rode go karts, rode rides, played games, got awesome tans, went crabbing and just enjoyed time with the 4 of us. I love our family vacations. We all dreaded coming home especially Noah and Owen. Scott and the boys make me one happy Mom and wife. They are growing up so fast and I treasure every minute we have with each other and look forward to the future. Thanks Scott, Owen and Noah for making it a fun and memorable trip. I love you all so so much!!

Putt Putt

We tried our first round of beach putt putt and did great. There was a place right at the hotel. We were proud o them. They are athletic and they both got a hole in one. Owen got one first and Noah got it on the last hole. Everyone did but me. But I did get 2's on almost every hole. It was a little warm playing but we were all troopers.

We went to the new boardwalk where the Sky Wheel is. It is a super cool spot filled with places to eat, live music, awesome views and and arcade.

Owen mad as fire. He was ok at first and then he thought the crabs were going to get him and bite him and he got stuck in the thick sand/mud. Funny kid.

This is wiped out after swimming and going to bed late every night. I think we have some party animals. They loved their sofa bed.

Picture perfect. 2 happy kids by the pool. We have on our new New Balance water shoes. The Cannon family has a shoe fetish for all of us. They got 2 new pairs at the beach. They also got some vans that rock. Owen went for the high tops. Noah and Scott have the same pair.. Cool dudes.

Go karts

We have found a new passion: Go Karts. We went to Nascar Speed Park and had a ball. We got there and this guy gave us his wife's bracelet to ride anything all day. They rode by themselves and at first they were slower than turtles. The second time much better. The must get their need for speed from Scott. We also waited 1 hour and they were so good in line for the family go karts. They were all running out of gas and didn't have many 2 seaters. Our turn finally came and it was so much fun. Owen rode with Scott and Noah with me. Of course I was like Granny Gert driving bit it was cool. Scott had a super fast car and I got hit from behind but me and Noah took it like champs. Scott and Owen had the Kyle Busch m&m car and they were busy lapping people.

The hotel, shopping and Calabash

The Prince Resort. I think we have found our new spot to go to every year. It is in Cherry Grove. It is more family oriented, has a pier, breath taking views, great pool on the 9th floor and a great place to ride bikes or golf carts.


Tanger outlets.

Calabash at the Christmas store. One day maybe we will get us a cool old school VW van.

Man, we got some water bugs. They swam and swam. They did great swimming. Those 2 months of lessons helped. I think they loved the lazy river about the best. The hot tub was just too hot.

Off to the Beach...

In the ocean. We did hang out there a whole lot b/c they are pool lovers.

Our first stop as soon as we got there was our favorite Hamburger Joe's. We at there 2 times/

Loaded down and ready to hit the road at 7:30am. Right on schedule. Owen was in and buckled at 7:00. We had to make him get out. We love our trips to Myrtle Beach. They get better every year!!
