1st Day of Kindergarten

Well we did it. They are official school boys at Shuford Elementary. We have as of today 3 days under our belts. Their teacher is Mrs. Surratte and there are 19 kids in their class. They were excited on the first day which helped all of us. Noah gave me a 2nd hug and the teachers gave us a bag to not to worry w/ a cotton ball to think of their soft touch and a kleenex to wipe any tears and I about shed a tear but held on strong. My babies are just growing up too fast. They said they had a good day. Owen said some kid was messing with him at the end of the day with his book bag and by today they are friends.  It has been rough as in it is a long day for them (8-3) and they aren't getting their normal nap and they are a little ill/out of sorts in the evenings. They have never been away from us ever for that long. All we can do is just hang in their to we all adjust. They come in and tell us about new friends, and tell us about their day and what kids wear from back packs-shoes-shirts. They are all about some labels at 5yr. Vans, Fox, adidas, Nike, Tony Hawk, Shawn White, converse, DC's-they will notice!! Scott and I pray they have a good year, develope a love of learning and make lots of friends. Oh yeah and BEHAVE!!

We took off to Price Park too. We tried to do a bunch of things with the boys before they started Kindergarten. It was ultra foggy when we got there but it turned out to be a good day. We played for over 2 hours in the water. Wading, looking for crawdads and throwing rocks and jumping trucks. We didn't take bathing suits b/c we were unsure of the weather. We even saw a snake and some other twins. We went to eat BBQ, went to the park in downtown Blowing Rock and even hit up Bo's in Lenoir. We (me adn Scott) were pooped!

We have made it to Kool Park 2 times this summer. Both is the past 2 weeks. We all had a good time. The boys didn't even need their swim wings. Woo-hoo!! Owen has become a great diver. Noah is doing cannonballs.

Random Pics from last 2 weeks

 Here we are taking off for the last day of summer camp at 1st Baptist in Hickory. I know I was a little sad because I will miss the riding with me om my way to work in the mornings. No more getting on I-40 together, talking, listening to music, being close to my work, or seeing them run in the door. I also know they will miss their friends and the comfort they had there. We will always have wonderful memories of 1stBaptist.

We took in a Crawdads game too. Ate ice cream and cotton candy. OwWen even got a ball that literally dropped in front of his feet while playing on the play ground. Crazy...
