Fishing Dudes

Owen caught this cool fish. We will call him bandanna bandit.

Maw Maw Barbara and the boys

Noah jumping into the Lake

My crazy husband doing a flip. At least he is a good influence.....

Owen plunging in on the action.

Noah

Owen, Noah, Dad, and Paw Paw James preparing to fish at Lake Hickory.

Noah caught a fish as soon as he got there and put the rod in the water.

Check this cool dude (Owen) out. Rad and bad to the bone!

A week ago we had fun out at the lake with Maw Maw and Paw Paw. We fished, swam, did tricks and ate. We even stayed up way past nap and were some good kids. We all caught at least one fish. Even me and Maw Maw. I love to eat fish but they are creepy and jumpy. Owen and Noah caught about 7-8 fish or so. They did awesome!!

Happy 4th of July

Chillin poolside

We had a great 4th of July. Scott took the day before off and got to party down at Bradley's. Nothing like swimming and eating on the 4th when it is close to 100 degrees. We ate some delicious tacos and desserts. Their favorite thing was riding Bradley's 4 wheeler. They loved it!!

We tried to tell them about the 4th and what it meant. They know Betsy Ross made the first American flag and I want to say thanks to all the soldiers past, present and future for protecting our freedom!! God Bless America.

Emerald Hollow Gem Mine

Owen

Noah

On Thursday we headed to Hiddenite went gem mining. Came back empty handed. Owen said he was looking for diamonds. We found a few clear, blue, and green rocks. It was not the cheapest adventure but we still had a good time. Maw-Maw Cassie and Paw-Paw Jimmy went. I think we all liked the digging in the creek the best. Sluicing is hard work. Scott said we had better odds hitting the lottery. He won't be back!!

Tricks

Owen

Noah

We have been riding our bikes and trying to do tricks all summer long. We haven't had these bikes a year yet and they have lived a hard life. Noah's pedals were about to fall off. We got out our knee pads to jump. What crazy kids.

Kool Park

A few weeks ago we headed for Kool Park and had fun. Owen and Noah could even go to the slide by themselves. We just need to work on not cutting in line. We saw an older kid tell them to wait and we died laughing. We went swimming at David and Kim's this week and they swam a little without their wings and did awesome. Owen was diving for rings in the shallow end and Noah was diving. They are growing up so fast on us.
